I really wish I had the time to catch up on all the posts I want to write about our recent travels. I haven’t finished writing posts about our time in Tibet, or Sichuan, I haven’t written anything about living in Beijing as a foreigner, very little about our trip to Hong Kong, Macao, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and nothing about the couple days I spent in Korea. Beyond that I also lived in Kosovo for nine months last year that I haven’t written about on here, nor what it was like traveling to Macedonia or to Athens when I went there for the marathon last year.
To top it all off, my wife and I are currently in Switzerland, we started this trip on September 1, flying through Moscow first to get to Athens where we spent a couple days, and then we went to the Greek island of Santorini (super beautiful and awesome) then back to Athens and then moved on to Italy (where we spent a few days in Rome, traveled by train to Venice, then on to the Cinque Terre) and are currently in Switzerland. Tomorrow we will be taking the train back to Milan, Italy, then the next day we fly to Paris! From there we will be flying to Portugal, and then to Spain. And from there we’ll fly home to Beijing.
I will eventually write all about these experiences, I promise! I recently got a new job working for a web development company out of Roseville, California, and it came at both a good and bad time. It is a good time because I will be moving back to Sacramento (which is right by Roseville), California on October 7 (unfortunately without my wife, but I have to be there for the rest of her immigration process); but it is a bad time because they needed me to start working right away. They are understandable that we are traveling for a month, plans we had already had before I got the job, but I still end up spending most of my spare time when we aren’t out having fun enjoying our travels working for them, so I haven’t had a chance to write any posts!
So I will at least give you a few pictures of the highlights, with a promise that I will be catching up on writing all of these posts over the next several months (it will probably take a year to catch up). On another note, if you have any questions about anywhere we have traveled or anything specific you want us to talk about, write a comment on this post so I can take note of it and write future posts accordingly!
